2025 District 43 Spring Conference in Memphis: Save the Date April 11-12, 2025

District 43 is pleased to announce our co-chairs for the 2025 Spring District 43 Conference-proven leaders with a track record for success in event planning and Toastmasters. Meet Toastmasters Darlene Regan and Tracey Shine.

Darlene Regan

Darlene Regan brings decades of experience in event planning, leadership, and community engagement to the Toastmasters Spring Conference Planning Committee. With a history of orchestrating events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale celebrations of up to 400 attendees, Darlene has successfully managed events such as Global Site of the Year Celebrations, Annual Family Days, Holiday Parties, and Training Programs. Her organizational expertise and attention to detail have consistently ensured memorable and impactful experiences for all participants.

Professionally, Darlene serves as the Americas Senior Regional Controller in Logistics and Distribution for Teleflex, a $3 billion medical device company. She holds CPA and Chartered Global Management Accountant certifications, as well as master’s degrees in engineering (operations management) and accounting.

Darlene is the founder of the first Teleflex Toastmasters club. Under her leadership, the club has flourished, growing its membership and expanding internationally to include members from Mexico and Brazil. The club offers hybrid meetings, allowing participants to engage both in person and online.

Darlene has called the Memphis area home for over 21 years, Darlene is deeply involved in her community. She actively contributes to the Chamber of Commerce, the Desoto Economic Council, and the Olive Branch Mayor’s Council. In addition to her event planning prowess, Darlene has secured over $25,000 in grant funding for the Tennessee Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Foundation, showcasing her ability to deliver results and drive impactful initiatives.

Tracey Shine

Tracey Shine brings over 15 years of event and conference planning expertise to the Toastmasters Spring Conference Planning Committee. From organizing vendor fairs for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, coordinating high school class reunions, and planning weddings to orchestrating the African American Postal League United for Success (A-Plus) events and leading the inaugural African American Honors Program at Philander Smith College, Toastmaster Shine has consistently delivered outstanding results. Her extensive experience spans a wide range of organizations and events, showcasing her versatility, creativity, and dedication to excellence. In 2024, she led the first team-building retreat for University of Arkansas Little Rock eLearning.

Tracey is a  leader of leaders in numerous organizations and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta and Speakers-N-Action Toastmasters. She joined Toastmasters in 2006. This former club coach and area director has served in nearly every local officer role.  Likewise, she has played a key role in managing high-profile annual fundraisers for several prominent advocacy organizations, demonstrating her ability to handle complex, large-scale events. These accomplishments underscore her commitment to inspiring and empowering others while fostering personal and professional growth.

With a passion for leadership, collaboration, and development, Toastmasters Regan and Shine truly shine in their ability to bring people together, build strong teams, and execute a shared vision. Their dedication to creating impactful, memorable events makes each of them an invaluable asset to any planning committee.
